He delivered the contents of this volume as a lecture on the 150th Anniversary of the Green Mountain Boys gathering in Castleton, Vermont. The volume was printed by the Tuttle Company in Rutland, Vermont, not far from Castleton. The Tuttle Company was run by Charles E. Tuttle, the man to whom Spargo signed this copy.
