Note: Jacket has some tiny tears and chips to extremities, and a closed tear on top edge of front panel. Spine slightly toned. Slight spine slant. Some water staining on top edge (see front endpaper and front board). This copy has been SIGNED by Johnson on the front endpaper, inscribed to "Roddy" (perhaps Joseph Roddy, the "Look" magazine writer), dated "Xmas 1947," the month of publication. A very nice and rare copy of Johnson's debut novel, a harlequin romance. F600A.
