About the Author
A baseball fanatic over the course of his life, Stacey Marc Goldman has compiled a collection of articles over a two-year period featuring his unique analysis and perspective about the game he loves. Stacey Marc played representative baseball in Thornhill, Ontario, Canada for 6 years and played until the Junior Level. Mr. Goldman attended Spring Training in Florida from 1984- 1987 and has traveled to Arizona for Spring Training likewise. Stacey, to paraphrase Blue Jay Dave Stieb, is, “forever looking for tomorrow to be perfect.” He is a huge fan of his hometown Toronto Blue Jays, and a fan of famed sportswriter and statistician Bill James. Stacey’s contribution to the baseball literature includes an evaluation of over 700 baseball players using his own statistical formulae, and deep insights into the social aspect of the treatment of minorities within major league baseball.
