245p. SIGNED BY J.C. PENNEY. A 1/4 navy blue cloth hardcover book in good condition. Edges heavily rubbed. Cloth is splitting along the edges of the spine. Head and foot of spine are worn and ragged-looking, and there is a dent in the middle of the front edge of the spine. However, the binding is still tight. Two owner's signatures on the front endpaper. Otherwise, text is unmarked. Stated first edition of the memoirs of James Cash Penney, founder of the JCPenney department store chain. This copy is signed by J.C. Penney himself on a blank page just before the frontispiece.
