Lieutenant Commander Terence V Horsley RN was a keen sportsman and glider pilot who flew Swordfish and other aircraft with the Fleet Air Arm during the Second World War. He began to write articles under the nom-de-plume of ?Stringbag? and latterly published a series of fascinating books on naval air power, gliding, shooting, fishing and flying. The author has dedicated this copy on the f.e.p. thus 'To "B.D." Pages 88 to 92 are pretty good as you will agree. T.H.' The book is an attempt to raise awareness amongst the general public of the history and role of the Fleet Air Arm, enhanced by personal accounts of often dramatic operations and experiences. Ref K 4.
