Clean leaves, bright lettering on spine, which is slightly pushed; minor toning and smudges to the text block. Wrapper is unclipped and bright, with modest wear. SIGNED and dated by the author. Golding's fourth novel, Free Fall is written in the first person and is a self-examination of fictional painter Samuel Mountjoy, who is held in a German POW camp during the Second World War.
