Obscure independently published book by contemporary Italian photographer Valentino Barachini, a filmic and dreamlike meditation on place. Hand-assembled and thoughtfully designed, with C-prints attached to the cover and tipped onto the title page, all pages in French folds, and images in both black and white and color, some only partially developed. Very European in approach, with echoes of Stephane Duroy, though much more intimate and diaristic. Beautifully designed, a testament to the creative possibilities of independent publishing.
