First edition of the author's first work, a celebrated account of life in the English countryside rom the farmer's perspective. Lord Desborough's copy, with his pencilled ownership inscription to the fep. Autographed letter from the author to Lord Desborough dated February 1932 pasted in, thanking him for praising the work and referring to a mutual acquaintance. A nice association copy of a scarce item. Lacks the dustwrapper. Generally VG with a few light marks to the covers and one small spot o the spine. Seller Inventory # 12736
