First Edition, reprint from first year of publication, 1974. SIGNED by Alan Mitchell under his name on the Title Page.( Alan Mitchell was a distinguished forester, dendrologist and botanist. He died in 1995. He almost single-handedly measured every notable tree in the British Isles. He founded the Tree Register of the British Isles and was the author of numerous books on trees.) Octavo; brown cloth boards with gilt details to spine-very clean and square, with absolutely minimal wear. Edge of pages block clean except for light sprinkling of stains to top edge. Endpapers and pastedowns illustrated with leaves design. Neat, very lightly pencilled name to Half-Title. Contents tight, bright and clean, with no additional marks or annotations. Dustwrapper very clean and bright in publisher's original clear plastic cover, with some waviness to front, as is usual. Otherwise wholly undamaged barring some very minor creases.
