First edition, hardback bound in black cloth with red titling to spine and upper board. 22.5 × 14.5cm. xi, 231pp + ads. Signed and dedicated by the author to the ffep, "To A Nelson Allen from J Murray Allison". A selection of essays on advertising first published in The Advertising World and Twentieth Century Advertising magazine a few years before the book's publication and are on subjects such as slogans, posters, life insurance advertising etc etc. Condition: A good reading copy. The black cloth is a little dusting and frayed to the edges, the pages foxed throughout and the inner binding a bit dry but the book remains in good readable condition.
