Biography of Nathan Bedford Forrest (1821-1877), Confederate General and first Grand Wizard of the Reconstruction-era Ku Klux Klan. The author and railroad executive Robert Selph Henry (1889-1970) wrote a number of other popular histories of the Civil War, including histories of the Confederacy and Reconstruction as well as his other passion, trains.
