As the author says in the inscription, this is largely a compilation of Articles and photos from the New York Independent published during World War I. At the end, there are a number of documents expressing the fond hope that the Great War is the last war. Inscribed by Hamilton Holt on the ffe. Holt also wrote some ink notations on his editorials and essay at the end of the book. Book is in very good condition, with light soiling of spine and foxing on ffe.
