Red paper covers with gilt cover titles; 8vo; 8pp; string-tied binding; not illustrated; printed at The Schauer Printing Studio, Santa Barbara as a Christmas keepsake for the author and his family. "A gentle and amusing story of how Philip Hoffman discovered running water, and incidentally fish."" (Bruns p358) The tale takes place in Claverack, New York, east of the Hudson River with the Catskill Mountains in the distance. This copy in VG condition with light sunning to cover; internally clean bearing a signed presentation Hoffman's wife Josephine.
