From the dust jacket: " [F]ive Marys are described by gospel writers as having large part in Jesus' life: his mother; his Aunt Mary, two of his own generation -- Mary of Bethany and Mary of Magdala - and Mary of Jerusalem, the mother of John Mark. These are the subjects of Mrs. Heaps' sympathetic and discerning chapters… each of the personal studies in this book is preceded by excerpts from scripture which directly concern the person studied, with verse references for complete passages. To know the story of these five Marys is to have a basis for the understanding of the life of Jesus of Nazareth not to be gained in any other way.". SIGNED by the AUTHOR.
