This volume of chuckle ready verses is nicely titled Five Tons Of Jam; Flann O'Brien thought there was too much poetry about, and most of it was bad. He wrote, 'Nobody is going to manufacture a thousand tons of jam in the expectation five tons may be eatable.' Mister Orland is most definitely wishing the precious five tons; he makes you think and he amuses you. In no particular order he flavours us with words both sweet and tart. This volume is beautifully signed on the title page, and could well be the only copy so decorated. It's a snip at the price.
