About this Item

Includes author inscription and theatre programme. This is, 'The Flashing Stream'by Charles Morgan and published by MacMillan and Co in 1938. This book has a pen inscription on the front fly page from the author to Anthony Ireland, it states; 'with blessings on the pace he gives to Brissing and gratitude for his tolerance of an amateur dramatist. 19.9.38'. Also included is the orginal Lyric Theatre programme from 1939 when 'The Flashing Stream' appeared on stage with Anthony Ireland portraying Lt Comm Brissing. This is a linen hardcover book with no dust jacket. The cover is a green shade with titling to the spine. The cover shows minor bumping to corners and edges with some fading to spine. There is minor handling marks to cover. The interior shows a pen inscription as described,a little yellowing to pages. Pages 263, Diameter 22.5cm x 15cm x 2.8cm.
