The phrase 'A Fleet in Being' referrs to a fleet in port which extends control of the surrounding seas just by its presence without leaving port. The book will appeal to those interested in naval warfare and in particular the development of the British fleet at the turn of the 20th Century. Text is clean and tight , Contemporary owner's name on half-title, no other interior markings.
