Add to basketExcellent large format hardcover, signed by Fonteyn to title page, very bold in biro."To Florrie Sinclair, my very best wishes always, Margot Fonteyn Arias". There is a Singapore connection with this book also. Florrie has re-dedicated the copy to her Friends Frances and Vernon, and taped onto the title page is a magazine photo of Vernon Martinus interviewing Fonteyn in Singapore. Martinus was a ballet choreographer and with Frances Poh co-founded the Singapore Ballet Academy in 1958. The original owner Florrie Sinclair was a teacher at the Singapore Ballet Academy. A few foxing freckles on the title page, the rest is clean, boards free of wear or fade. DJ tight and bright, minor handling wear at spine ends, sunfade around spine panel, unclipped. Florrie Sinclair signed and dated to flyleaf. Interesting also that this book made its way somehow back to the orginal owner retired in Orkney, from whose collection it came to us. A cherished book indeed. Size: Folio.
