The Cadaver of Gideon Wyck (Farrar & Rinehart, 1934) in cloth boards, has a partial jacket and a frontispiece, both by Lynd Ward. Alexander Laing was prolific author of poetry, fiction, sea stories, and nonfiction. He was a professor at Dartmouth College.
