Book has a bump on the upper front corner with light wear at spine and other corners and former owner's name on first end page. A spot of age toning on the book edges. Book is SIGNED AND DATED BY THE AUTHOR on the first end page. The former owner who signed the book was also a Veteran of the Civil War. Noted on the Service Record page in his writing he was a member of Company H 162nd Regiment of Ohio. Since both the author and former owner were attached to Ohio Regiments they may have served together in pursuit of General Morgan in Kentucky. Former owner not mentioned in the book. Book is from the diary of Gaskill during his 3 years of the Civil War. Several black and white illustrations. 186 pages. Size: 8vo - over 7¾ - 9¾" tall. Seller Inventory # 015277
