SIGNED by Waugh as part of a gift dedication on front free end paper which reads: "Dear Lady Douglas, I did so enjoy our meeting - a bientot, I hope, Alec Waugh / May 5, 1960". This is a very good condition copy of the 1st UK edition. Book slightly bumped around spine, some marks on top of text block and some spotting marks on outside and lower edges; tiny damage to lower edge of cover at front; generally, though, clean and tidy.
