About this Item
8vo. Pp. 387. The last two pages, addressed to "the technical reader," concern technological aspects of radio broadcasting. Bound in dark blue cloth with a moire pattern, green lettering and vignette stamped on front cover, green lettering on spine. Dust soiling to top edge. In the illustrated dust jacket that has two old tape repairs at head and tail of spine, and very slight age-toning. Price of $2.50 intact on front flap. Laid in is an undated TLS on onion skin thanking an admirer, a psychologist, for his letter complimenting Storm on his novel. Hans Otto Storm was a radio engineer who pursued a career as a novelist, this being his first effort. The color dust jacket illustration by George Carlson, an art deco triumph, reflects that background and the novel's plot by depicting a fist clenching radio waves. An attractive copy with the dust jacket now preserved in a removable, clear archival sleeve. Seller Inventory # 5740
