Solid text block, light wear to edges, faint foxing to top edge, a near fine example. $3.95 retail price printed on the rear panel. Inscribed on the title page: "Raymond Carver / --- / October 1, 1977." Raymond Carver (1938-1988) was an influential American writer and poet, renowned for his minimalist style and relatable depiction of working-class life. He published several acclaimed short-story collections, including "What We Talk About When We Talk About Love," "Cathedral," and "Where I'm Calling From." Book has a faint bump at the very tips of the two lower outside corners. Blue endpapers with LOA logo. Binding is straight and tight. Last two white pages in the volume got crumpled at one point, and one of them has a tear - both are part of the listing of other Library of America volumes, and not a part of the text. Pages are otherwise all clean, white, and crisp. 1,019 pages. Blue silk ribbon bookmark fastened at the head of the spine. Dust Jacket has a nearly unnoticable trace of rubbing at the extreme tip of the upper rear outside corner - jacket is otherwise clean, bright, and sharp. Library of American #195.
