Item description from seller

First U.s. Edition. Hardback. Dust Jacket. 8vo. pp 44. Original publisher's grey cloth, lettered silver on spine. Signed presentation from the author on the front endpaper to English popular historian and travel writer, John Julius Norwich (1929–2018), "For John Julius, with many thanks for his enchanting small anthology. Stephen Spender, Christmas 1971." Bookplate of John Julius Norwich on the front pastedown. Very good indeed in slightly used, very good minus dust jacket, with some unsightly perforation at edges due to an insect (possibly in a hot climate).
