About the Author

Fr. Timothy was educated at Ampleforth College, York and Christ Church, Oxford. In 1940-46 he served in England and Burma in WWII in the Royal Artillery and on the Divisional Operations Staff. He joined Ampleforth Abbey later in 1946 and in 1955 was sent to St. Louis as founding headmaster of Saint Louis Priory School. He was headmaster for the period covered by the book.
