First edition. Tall octavo. 94pp. Frontispiece portrait of General Philip Reed. Printed wrappers with loss at the spine ends and small corner chips on the front cover, a bit of wear and light staining, sound and about very good. With four lines of verse in contributor W[illiam] M[atthew] Marine's hand, and Signed by him, on the verso of the frontispiece. Someone else has written an address beneath Marine's name and made one brief note in the text. Marine was the author of The British Invasion of Maryland, 1812-1815. The Battle of Caulk's field took place during the War of 1812. A dozen copies in *OCLC*.
