About the Author

Robb Helfrick lives in Atlanta and specializes in location photography for corporate and editorial clients. His photographs have appeared in Sierra, National Geographic Traveler, Audubon, National Parks, Travel Holiday, Sky, National Geographic Adventure, and Atlanta Magazine. Robb's work was featured exclusively in the Fodor's guidebook Georgia, and he was also the sole photographer for the Farcountry Press books Atlanta Impressions, Charlotte Impressions, North Carolina Simply Beautiful, Savannah Impressions, and St. Augustine Impressions. He is a recipient of the Leonard Foote Award for Excellence in Conservation Photography and has won many other honors for his work.

Master landscape photographer James Randklev has photographed America for forty years, primarily with a large-format camera that provides the rich images collected in this volume. His brilliant and sensitive work has made him one of the Sierra Club's most published photographers. His color photographs have appeared in books, periodicals, calendars, and advertising and they have been exhibited in the International Exhibition of Nature Photography in Evian, France. In 2003 Randklev was selected to be included in a book entitled World's Top Landscape Photographers and the Stories Behind Their Greatest Images by Roto Vision Publications, London, England.
