Nice gift inscription at title page, "Thanks for all you do - for me - Tony - ad NWPP. Elfie" and then in the same hand, scribbled note at Table of Contents: "I wrote about these ladies in '100 Women.'" A fine work of Texas-based Americana, edited by Cleo Dawson and with contributions by her and by Minnie C. Gilbert, Florence Johnson, Scott Rafaela Barrera, Nola Mortin Harding, Eddie Valent, Elena Farias Barrera, Teresa Chapa Alamia, Anne L. Magee, J.W. (BIll) Pate, Daffan Van Kirk, Verna McKenna, Lucy H. Wallace, George R. Boyle, Lucy H. Wallace, Kitty Culwell and many others. Bound handsomely in green linen weave cloth over boards, gilt lettering to spine. Underlining opposite in 1993 relayed who had passed away by then. Map endpapers front and rear. Cleo Dawson Smith was a frequent visitor on the Johnny Carson Show and similar shows in the late 1960s and early 1970s. I've done my best to state clearly and truthfully the condition of each and
every book I have listed on-line. Sometimes, however, books change condition
insofar as they sit on the shelf for a long time, get moved by customers, get
taken to and from book fairs, and so on. If for some reason you don't like your
purchase or it arrives somehow damaged, or if it doesn't get to you at all, you
might be eligible for a refund within 30 days of the estimated delivery date.

Shipping terms
Most orders will ship within one to two business days, but often times, they
will go out on the same day as they are ordered. I've based my shipping
costs on the assumption of books weighing 2.2
LB, or 1 KG. If your book order is heavy or oversized (extra thick, extra
long, etc.), I may contact you to let you know that extra shipping is
required. Bubble mailers and boxes will be expertly and securely wrapped and
monitored. Please contact us if there is anything extra or different you need us to do.
