DESCRIPTION: Blue and cream paper covered boards with hole to front cover showing seal. Illustrated in colour by Paolo Garretto with double fold out spread to centre of book. The book is inscribed to Charles Hobson (as 'old friend') and signed "Paolo" (which could be Paolo Garretto) see provenance and dated "Stresa 1953." Language: Italian. Book Condition: Poor: Heavy wear to lower rear corner and edges with small loss to corner. Paper covering peeling away from rear board. Tears to rear paper covering. Wear to other corners, edges and spine ends. Cracked lower front endpaper with weakening to front hinge. Large inscription to first page. Toned unmarked pages. DJ Condition: No DJ. Pages 96. Size: 8vo 22.5cm by 25cm. PROVENANCE: Charles Hobson & Paolo Garretto. Paolo Garretto was asked by Charles Hobson, a director of the London Press Exchange, the most important advertising company in the British Empire, to do some modern and surprising posters.
