Baile Átha Cliath [Dublin]: An Clóhomhar Tta, 1971. Stated First Printing (An Chéad Chlo). Irish-language throughout. Signed by the author with inscription "who understands / before communicated with / knows / as only the oppressed / know. Michael, Baile Átha Cliath '73." Additional handwritten, folded note laid in reads "Rona -- If you can slip away for a drink later? I'll be there, downstairs. Mícheál Ó hUanacháin." "Dr. Fields written on back of note. Octavo; 84pp. Illustrated dust jacket with 85p price intact; book in green cloth with gilt lettering to spine. Jacket chipped along bottom front and at spine ends, with a couple small tears along edges and some smudging to surface. Boards a bit edgeworn with fading along spine and bottom edge. A couple small spots to final index page and opposite, else pages clean and unmarked. Binding is sound. Author's first collection of poems, which he followed by a handful more, along with another handful of short fiction collections for young readers. He spent his career as a journalist with RTÉ Ireland, while acting in 1970-71 and again from 2002-2007 as editor of Comhar, a prominent, Dublin-based Irish language literary journal.
