First Edition ('First published 1963'). Flat-signed by the author on the blank first front end paper (see photo). As you can see from the photos, the covers of the book are exceptionally clean and they have little to no wear. The gilt lettering on the spine is still very bright. You will want to know that the spine is quite slanted forward. The book is solidly bound from cover to cover. The pages are in very good condition. I didn't see any conspicuous creasing or dogeared corner. The pages are generally very clean. The middle page edge has some dust soiling and two early pages have a few light spots off their outer or middle edge. However, I turned over a lot of the pages and didn't see any other soiling. There are no markings in the book. No attachments. And with the exception of the author's signature, no one has written their name or anything else anywhere in the book. The dust jacket has held up quite well. The spine edges show very minor wear, but there is a small loss at the juncture of the rear cover and spine, just off the top edge. There is light spotting/foxing on the white parts of the rear cover and on the flaps. The jacket is NOT price-clipped, not clipped at all. It will be fitted with a protective cover after the photos are scanned. Seller Inventory # 002197
