A First Edition set dated October, 1902 (N) on the copyright page and MCMII on the title page. Both books bound in light tan calf and lovely marbled paper boards and matching end papers. Gilt lettering and rules, 6-compart raised band spine., top edges gilt. Spines anr uniformly sunned with 1 corner bumped and another slightly abraded. A lovely looking set in the much-desired leather & marbled binding. Pages number 351 for volume I (*)and 352-662 for vol. II (**). (Volumes are designated by a stars (*) on the spine beneath the title.) Also, chapters are preceeded by 'Interleaves' describing contents, and the Introduction by K. D. Wiggin. Quite scarce in this First Edition Set.
