1st Ed., Signed by the author to the title pge, hard cover blue cloth bds, a little scuffing to extrem.s, one very small patch of tiny white speckles, Good, unclipped dust jacket, some fading and rubbing to spine hinges/ spine ends/corners, Good, b/w frontis. of the author, contents fine and tight, pp171 + fold-out map to rear. "This is the story of the author's early childhood and her nursing career first as a V.A.D. (Voluntary Aid Detachment) in 1915 . Then her training at St Bartholomew's Hospital in London." (Front flap). She then joined Lady Minto's Indian Nursing Association where she spent the rest of her career until 1947.
