7.5 x 5 in. Stapled pamphlet bound in glossy silver and gold card wrappers, in folded envelope enclosure. Enclosure is also silver and gold, with "East" and "West" printed on front panels, circular paper clasp damaged, with torn segment laid inside. Otherwise, both book and enclosure are clean and like new. Publisher's advance excerpt from Rushdie's "East, West" collection of stories, published by Pantheon Books in January 1995. Title leaf has tipped in author signature card signed in black ink, and stated 2,000 copies printed especially to commemorate the new year.
