New York: Vintage Books / Random House, 1970. First Vintage Books Edition. 12mo (18cm); publisher's white printed card wrappers; unpaginated. Light wear and dust-soil to wrapper margins, textblock rather toned due to inferior paper quality; still Very Good and sound overall. Inscribed and signed by the author on the dedication page, dated 11/89. First paperback edition of the author's first book, a collection of thirty-seven poems written while Clifton was busy raising her six young children.
