About this Item

A lovely eleventh printing of the first American edition [Houghton Mifflin Co Boston (1959)], signed by Philip Roth directly on the half title page. The book is in near fine condition with a bumped spine bottom but with clean boards, a nice top stain, no remainder marks and a tight, square binding. The book has no owner inscriptions or highlighting and no staining or marking. The dust jacket is in very good condition, not price-clipped ($6.50), with small chips at the spine ends and a quarter-sized damp stain on the middle of the spine. The jacket is now protected by an archival cover which is easily removable. Please do not hesitate to contact us for further information. Originally listed at $600- Now on sale at $500.
