Its history and drama, and its role in the opening of the West. Beige cloth hardcover with crisp coverboard illustration and text on spine; some general handling wear, rubbing, mild bumping; just a bit of dust-spotting to leaves and textblock edges. Signature is only mark; overall fairly tidy. Jacket is fair to good, housed in archival cover. Some heavy rubbing, scuffing, chipping.
