First Edition. Very good copy with little wear, and just a couple spots of discoloration to the cloth. The lettering on the spine retains some glow. Tight and secure. "With the compliments of the Author" in pencil on the endpaper and a pencil correction of fact in the preface. A poem by the author clipped from an 1852 newspaper is loosely inserted. The Berkshires are presented with special attention given to some notable residents.
