Item description from seller

332 pp. A near fine, tight, unmarked rare soft cover copy. With the dust jacket issued on the hardcover binding and including the front and rear flaps. This is a soft cover advance review copy before the hardcover was issued. It is stamped on the title page with PUB'N DATE SEP 17 1931. Housed in a beautiful custom made clam shell slip case as photographed. Additionally, with this advance copy comes an original United States Marshal document from San Diego, CA. signed by Thomas H. Rynning. The subject of this book Thomas Rynning (1866-1941) was one of Roosevelt's Rough Riders, Captain of the Arizona Rangers, Warden of the Arizona penitentiary at Yuma, Constructor of the Florence, Arizona prison and always a frontier lawman. An excellent read about a real western lawman, his life and times and the outlaws he captured and pursued. Six-Guns #1924, Herd #1983. We consider this advance copy in the custom clam shell case to be scarce.
