Dust jacket is wrapped in a mylar covering, price uncut "$4.95", has tears along the head edges, mild bending wear along the edges, mild age toning along the head edges, and creasing along the head fore corner of the front flap. Boards have mild bending wear and age toning along the spine head and tail edges. Thompson was born July 18 1937and was an American novelist and journalist, and is considered one of the principle pioneers of New Journalism. He passed away on February 20, 2005. "Hell's Angels" was published in 1967 and gained praise for its up-close and uncompromising account of the Hells Angels motorcycle club. Despite his honesty about being a reporter, he collaborated and lived with the San Francisco and Oakland Hells Angels chapters for around a year.
