Bound in an old half leather binding, this is an extremely scarce bound copy of articles written by R. Lloyd Kenyon on Ruyton-XI-Towns and West Felton in Shropshire, that originally appeared in The Transactions of the Shropshire Archaeological and Natural History Society, the book runs to 465 pages, followed by a 33 page handwritten index, illustrated with folding maps and illustrations, along with occasional handwritten annotations within the text, this appears to have been the authors own personal copy which he presented to West Felton Rectory in 1906, there is only one copy held in the main institutional library collections. I would guess there were only a handful of copies produced, the binding has general rubbing wear with some marking, small splits to the joints though binding still firm, internally there is heavy foxing and noticeable marking to several pages, one plates is loose and worn at edges, edge tears to a few of the plates and maps else in good general condition.
