Sandford, and head & tail-pieces. Printed on a high quality paper, with watermark: British Hand Made with Anvil & Hammer design. Black cloth spine and sides, with gilt titling, vertically on the spine, and tan & orange, batik-style patterned paper, designed by J. E. Sandford. Cream-colored dustjacket with titling inblackon spine, and with title & design in brown & black on the front panel. Bookplate removed from front paste-down, light dusting to cover edges, tanning to deckled edges of pages. The dutjacket shows general wear, with tanning, chipping to spine ends, edges, splitting; with glassine paper wrapper. Scarce, large paper edition, signed by DuBose Heyward, some of whose writings helped inspire Gershwin's "Porgy & Bess". Seller Inventory # F-150
