This early-2000s variation of J.K. Rowling's signature signed in blue ballpoint pen to the half title page of a first UK edition, 10th printing copy of Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone. At this point, J.K. Rowling was no longer conducting large scale public signing events, however a limited number of copies were signed and distributed from her office for select purposes such as charity fundraising. Authentically signed hardback copies of Philosopher's Stone, pre 18th printings with the younger, brown beard wizard on the rear cover are especially sought after and more scarce to find in commerce. This is a beautiful early 10th impression, signed by J.K. Rowling in near fine condition in a near fine dust jacket without colour fading. The book itself has a tight and square binding with some minor bruising to the spine tip and base. Internally there are no dog eared pages and no unwanted marks or ownership inscriptions. There is some minor spotting to the title and half title pages only, but very little toning to the book's page edges which is rare to see in these early books, which were printed with cheaper paper stock. The signature comes fully authenticated by Adam Houston 'The Harry Potter Specialist,' the world's leading expert in authenticating Jo's signature. It comes with a full authentication package including a letter of authenticity and collector card.
