Illustrated with an original hand-drawn piece by Thomas Taylor, the artist who created the iconic cover artwork for Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone. Executed in black ballpoint pen, the illustration appears on the dedication page and was commissioned in 2020. It depicts Harry at the center holding his wand, surrounded by key motifs from the story - Hedwig, Diagon Alley, Platform 9¾, and the winged key from the climax of the book. The drawing is signed and dated 'Thomas 2020'. In addition, the cover illustration has been signed and dated by Taylor in the lower left corner. Fully authenticated by J.K. Rowling signature expert Adam Houston of Theharrypotterspecialist. Letter of Authenticity (LOA) and collectors card with interesting details included. Octavo, bound in red cloth with gilt titles, pictorial decoration, a facsimile of Rowling's signature on the front board, red endpapers, and all edges gilt. The book is in fine condition, like new.
