First edition, eleventh print; with JK Rowling signed Bloomsbury Children's Books bookplate affixed to the front free endpaper; signed by JK Rowling with a black pen. The book comes with a Letter of Authenticity from the Harry Potter Specialist (Adam Houston), the authority on the author's signature through the years.

As explained in The Harry Potter Specialist's Letter of Authenticity, the book was found originally discovered in a 'book nook' in Moulsecoomb, Brighton, East Sussex.

The book is in near fine condition: firm and square, with no reading lean; firm corners, one corner very lightly creased. One very small ding to the bottom edge of the lower board; negligible crease to the fore-edge of the upper board. Mildly pressed spine foot, very slight bruising to the head of the spine. Otherwise externally very handsome, with a clean, lightly toned, text block. Internally very clean, with light toning to the page edges. No marks or ownership name and no dog-eared pages.

The dust-jacket is not price-clipped; near fine. Light creases to the edge of the jacket, a few spots to the inflap verso, lightly sunned spine.
