The book is brand new and nearly pristine: it is square, spotlessly clean, free of corner bumps and edge dings; head and heel of spine lightly bumped; hinges are very tight and not damaged in any fashion; front paste down has a series of ripples running the entire 8-3/4", clearly a manufacturing defect. The interior is completely free of writing, stray marks, stains of any sort and page damage of any type. Paper is not toned and is very flexible. No distortion of the book from reading or improper shelving; pages are tight and clean with no marks. Jacket is also brand new and it is pristine: it is perfectly clean; no tears, folds, creases or fading; no bumps on spine or edges; publisher's original price of "$32.95 CAN--$26.95 U.S.--£19.99 U. K." listed on the bottom of the front flap. The jacket has two stickers: a 1-1/2" black-on-white circular bookstore sticker near the upper right corner of the front panel with "Signature / EDITION" beneath the bookstore logo; and a 2-1/4" x 1" black-on-white store sticker (author, title, price, ISBN number & bar code) on lower right corner of rear panel. Condition of book and jacket consistent with being brand new and not read. No other discernible or objectionable faults on book or jacket such as marks or writing within, stains, tears, chips, or other damage that would diminish its appearance. No remainder mark, no previous owner markings or inscriptions, not price clipped, not a book club edition, not a former library book.
