About the Author:

Donald Spoto received M.A. and Ph.D degrees in theology from Fordham University, where he concentrated in New Testament Studies. He taught theology, Christian mysticism, and Biblical literature at the university level for twenty years before turning to full-time writing. Since 1976, his seventeen books have included internationally best-selling biographies of Alfred Hitchcock, Laurence Olivier, Tennessee Williams, and Ingrid Bergman, as well as a dynastic history of the Royal Family. He lives in Los Angeles.
