Frontispiece, xii, 323 pp. Original cloth. Very Good, in very good dust jacket. Signed by Henle on flyleaf, and inscribed by Henle: 'From one admirer of E.H./to another/MH.' E.H. = Edna Heidbreder, to whom the book is dedicated (the frontispiece is of her). Contributors include Thomas S. Kuhn, Jaynes, Herrnstein, L. Postman, R. M. Young, et al. 'Ms. Henle joined the Graduate Faculty of The New School for Social Research in 1946, where she served as Professor of Psychology until her retirement in 1983. Ms. Henle was a renowned experimental psychologist, historian of psychology, incisive critic of psychological theory, and champion of the Berlin school of Gestalt psychology' (New York Times, Nov. 27, 2007).
