Hardback. A good copy in maroon cloth. One inch tear at join of spine and lower board. Signed by the author on the title page. Pp.xx,853. Frontispiece and 22 illustrations. 15 fold-out maps. The Nominal Roll with Records of Service takes up a little over 400 pages and is supplemented by an Addenda and Errata compiled by H.H. Oldaker which is tipped in at the rear of the book. Pasted in to the front of the book is a hand-written letter sent on behalf of the battalion to the British sculptor Pilkington Jackson who appears to have been responsible for the Regimental War memorial. Tipped-in at the rear of the book is a hand-written letter by the author's sister to Pilkington Jackson advising him of the author's death in 1950 and saying that she had often heard her brother talk of Pilkington Jackson. Although not signed by him this was clearly Pilkington Jackson's copy of the book.
