About this Item

The author, a Uranian poet and social reformer, was a friend of Oscar Wilde's and many others in 1890s London. He published several volumes of Uranian prose and an essay on the "Graeco-Roman View of Youth" as well as the tome described here, which is subtitled "Criminals, Witches, Lunatics" and includes a discussion of "sexual "inversion". Very good in black boards, light wear to covers. Ives has signed the front endpaper and the front free endpaper is also signed by his fellow Uranian poet, Leonard Green and dated 1920.
